The Huawei Mate 30 and Mate 30 pro handsets went a first sale on 26th September,2019 and apparently sale is going extremely well in China. during the opening of a Huawei flagship store in Shenzhen a couple of days ago, CEO of Huawei Richard Yu announced, Huawei was sold a millions of Mate 30 phones in a three hours. This number of sale is quite impressive, but perhaps not surprising given Huawei’s popularity in its home country.
As per Canalys research, 37.3 million Huawei phones has shipped in china in the second quarter of this year which is up 31% over 2018. In fact, Huawei was the only brand to increase sales over the previous year in China and other smartphones like Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo all suffered lower sales than their 2018 numbers.
The main reason behind this sales is US trade ban of Huawei's products. Further, Most of the Android phones in china doesn't come with pre-installed google apps, so this is not a big deal for Chinese. The official price in China is lower than what was announced internationally.
