Oneplus 8 Pro Launch Date
OnePlus has launched its new flagship smartphone- Oneplus 8 Pro in an online launch event on April 14, 2020. The Oneplus 8 Pro is the successor of OnePlus 7T Pro which was introduced back in October 2019.
Oneplus 8 Pro Features
Oneplus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch FHD+ Fluid AMOLED edge-to-edge display with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It has a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
It comes with a dedicated MEMC chip that transforms standard videos at 24fps up to 120 fps. The company says that it is ideal for watching sports and action-packed content since MEMC reduces motion blur, stuttering, and ghosting for unmatched clarity. It has HDR 10+ support, tuned color accuracy rating of JNCD around 0.4.
OnePlus 8 runs Android 10.0 with OxygenOS 10 and is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 SoC with an X55 5G modem that supports both NSA and SA 5G.
For photos and videos, the phone has a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera with Sony IMX689 sensor and OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 3cm macro mode and 120° FoV, 8MP 3X Telephoto Camera that also supports 30x digital zoom, OIS and a 5MP mono sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP in-screen camera with a Sony IMX471 sensor for selfies and video calls.
Oneplus 8 Pro comes with a 4510mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T fast charging, 30 Wireless fast charging as well as supports wireless reverse charging to charge other devices.
Other key features on the phone include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 8 Pro Price, Availablity
OnePlus 8 Pro will be available in Onyx Black (gloss-finish glass), Glacial Green (matte glass) and Ultramarine Blue (gloss-finish glass) color options.
The new flagship Oneplus 8 Pro is priced at $899 / £799 for the 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage version and the 12GB RAM with a 256GB storage version carries a price tag of $999 / €899.
It will be available in Europe and the UK from April 21st starting with pre-orders starting today. The OnePlus 8 Pro comes in India this summer on Amazon.in.
